Crane Operator Training
Kristian Electric's training course presents the minimum recommended safety requirements to ensure safe operation of overhead cranes. The Occupational Health and Safety Code requires workers to be competent in order to work without supervision. Being “suitably trained” is one component of worker competence. Successful completion of our course should help ensure that workers are suitably trained to safely move loads with the overhead cranes in your plant.

The full course duration is 8 hours; which includes 6 hours classroom and 2 hours practical training. Successful attendees will receive a “Certificate of Training” which is valid for 3 years.
Course material:
- extensive student workbook, and pocket reference guide based on industry standards and practices
- use of video’s and hands-on rigging samples
- full coverage of relevant crane and rigging codes

Who benefits:
- overhead crane operators without previous full training
- overhead crane operators who have not received training within the last 3 years
- trainees that will be supervised to become overhead crane operators
- riggers that will assist crane operators with attaching the load
*** Full re-training is recommended after 3 years. ***
